Over the years, I have been in organizations that thought it would be a good idea to raise money or morale by creating a group recipe book.
Peanut Butter Pie
I was on an island off the coast of Georgia when I stopped into a restaurant that offered peanut butter pie. I liked it. I asked for the recipe, and I was told that it was a family secret. So, I went on a search for a peanut butter pie recipe. I found several, and then I experimented.
Peanut Chiffon Pie
- One 8 oz package cream cheese
- One 8 oz carton cool whip
- One cup chunky peanut butter
- One half cup confectioners' sugar
- One half cup milk
- One store bought graham cracker pie crust
Mix cream cheese, cool whip, peanut butter, milk, and sugar together. Pile into graham cracker crust. Cool.
Peanut butter Pie
- Three oz cream cheese
- One 8 oz carton cool whip
- One third cup peanut butter
- One cup confectioners' sugar
- One store bought graham cracker pie crust
Mix cream cheese, cool whip, peanut butter and sugar together. Pour into graham cracker crust. Cool.
Keylime Pie
- Minutemaid frozen lime juice (6 oz)
- One 8 oz carton cool whip
- Fourteen oz dairy sweet
- Two or three drops lime essential oil (optional)
- One store bought graham cracker pie crust
Mix it all together, pour into graham cracker crust, and refrigerate.
Pink Cloud Salad
This was given to me by a woman who always brought it to office parties, and she made me promise never to bring it to one of our office parties. It is quick and good, and being a working woman, it was her secret to saving time.
- 1 can cherry pie mix
- 1 can chunk pineapple (drain)
- 2 can mandarin oranges (drain)
- 1 can Eagle brand milk
- 1 bag of white marshmallows
- 16 oz of Cool Whip
Mix it all together in a large hemispherical vessel that is wider than it is deep, and refrigerate.
Crock Pot Steak
- 1 can Golden mushroom Cambells soup
- 1 package McCormic brown gravey mix
- 1 can water
- steak
Mix it all together in a crock pot and cook for 8-9 hours on low.
